Hi I'm Ness and I'm one of the Speech Pathologists at My Word Speech Therapy. I joined the team in November, 2020 and have a background in community health and private practice. My favourite thing to work on in therapy is feeding, literacy and speech sounds! I especially love using Telehealth to work with families who are remote and do not have access to a local Speech Therapist as well as supporting families to access services that they require such as NDIS, and social supports. When I'm not seeing clients I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, crochet, going to music concerts and playing with my sausage dog, Bentley.

Hi, my name is Fern. I know what you're thinking, surely I'm the local florist or Botanist as my name would suggest. But, no, I went against the grain and decided to join My Word Speech Therapy as a Speech Pathologist in August 2019. Prior to that, I worked for a not for profit organisation in Early Intervention, working closely with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Psychologists. There's so many areas in Speech Pathology to love, but I have a strong interest in alternative and augmentative communication systems. If I'm not at the clinic, you'll likely find me watching Survivor with my husband, volunteering at a local Youth Group, playing Squash or doing something related to performing arts.
